John Atkin works across sculpture, drawing, fabrication and digital modelling, creating works that range from intimate studio pieces to large-scale public installations.
His practice explores the relationship between physical form and the environments in which sculpture is experienced. Industrial materials, found objects and carefully engineered structures are brought together through a process that combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary technology.
Atkin’s work has been exhibited internationally, with public sculptures placed in cities across the United Kingdom and overseas. Each project responds to its architectural, cultural and social setting while maintaining a strong and recognisable sculptural language.
